  • Share perspectives on the role of data, science-policy, technology, engineering, & innovation for achieving the SDGs

  • Identify challenges and solutions towards implementation of the SDGs under review in 2017 (SDGs 6,7,11,12,15, 17)

  • Explore the role of ICTs, tech transfer, science communication, IP rights, innovation policy, and other cross-cutting topics

  • Map implementation frameworks across different sustainable development agendas to promote coherence

  • Discuss implications of ST&I and data from different contexts - humanitarian, territorial (urban/rural), disaster reduction, climate change

The open-and-inclusive nature of the UN MGCY will be used to  engage young practitioners from diverse academic, formal/informal knowledge systems, and regions in order to develop comprehensive deliverables on the positions youth have on the role of science, technology, and innovation in informing the implementation, follow-up, and review of the SDGs, as well as ways to strengthen the nexus between data, science, technology, policy, and society.

This initiative is open to all youth organization and young practitioners interested in providing contributions. It is coordinated by the UN MGCY Youth Science-Policy Interface Platform.
